Kennebunkport Round-up

We got back from our vacation in Kennebunkport last weekend and I wanted to share some of my favorite places with you.  It's such a cute town with lots of shops and places to dine.  This is my new favorite destination in New England and if you live in Boston, it's a short hour and a half drive away.

Antiques on 9: This two story house is chock full of antiques, and not the tired, boring kind but some really great stuff. They also carry Annie Sloan's chalk paint which I'm dying to try out!  I got a great nautical doormat and some gifts for Christmas. I also loved these old numerical signs, perfect for a house number.

Hurlbutt Designs: This store is owned by an interior designer and offers furniture as well as design services.  The furniture and accessories are pretty nautical, but in a more sophisticated way. I loved this cool little bench made from what looks to be an old saw horse and this gold laser cut map of Boston.

Daytrip Society: A "hipster" shop in Kennebunkport. Lots of fun bags, shoes, hats, and accessories.  Nick bought me a new foldable/packable beach hat for my birthday and we got Charlie a cute Maine patch for his jeans.  They also have Daytrip Society Junior around the corner - I wanted to buy everything in the store for the kids!

Farm + Table: For any foodies, this is a great stop. A little off the beaten path in Cape Porpoise, but they have lots of jams, honeys, and other kitchen accessories. Last year I bought Nick a Great Scrape for the grill and my brother a lovely apron.

We hit Mother's Beach almost daily - perfect for kids (or adults who don't like big waves!)  For drinks and dining, we loved Pedros, Bandaloop, Pier 77 and The Ramp. Oh and don't forget to hit up The Clam Shack for some fried goodness.

Have fun!
