Shopping in Millerton, New York

My in-laws live in the Connecticut Berkshires which is such a beautiful part of New England.  Every time we visit, I make it a point to pop over to Millerton, New York, a quick drive from their place in CT.  The town is adorable with an independent movie theatre, classic diner, and a coffee shop where you often spot celebrities. There's also a handful of really great home stores that I love to browse through.

Hunter Bee is a vintage furniture store owned by Kent Hunter and Jonathan Bee. They have a great eye for curating vintage finds - from furniture to accessories to books.  I found an amazing French dining table & chairs (with original fabric), some awesome mid-century globe and mushroom table lamps, some handblown glass cloches and a quirky faux sushi set on my visit this weekend.

Charlotte Taylor is an adorable shop named after the owners daughters. The shop features a great variety of affordable items perfect for your own home or gifts.  Below are some snaps of some adorable kitchen towels, Dash & Albert runners, quirky pillows, and some beautiful baby accessories.  The owner also features local artists work throughout the store that's also available for purchase.

A new shop in town is Jennings & Rohn Montage Home.  I found some beautiful pieces in this shop - mostly larger antique and vintage furniture pieces perfectly curated - and pretty affordable.  Check out this mid century modern desk, antique farm table and pop up shop from Hammertown with a very striking portrait painting.
